David Beckham Dives Into New Territory
Golden balls David Beckham has swapped pitch for pool by unveiling a new swimwear range with H&M. The former footballer is showing off the leisure of retired life, adding board shorts, swim shorts and trunks to his self-titled brand, already housed by the high street chain.
Nine types across the 3 silhouettes will debut when the collection launches in May possibly. Navy, olive and white colour methods make up the range, with every piece conveniently packing away into a nylon pouch.
The move follows a number of consecutive seasons partnering with the Swedish retailer, which resulted in the world’s very first shoppable ad, premiering in the course of half time of Super Bowl XLVIII.
The tattooed star, who turns 39 this year, continues the tradition of fronting the newest campaign himself. The father-of-4 appears in a series of photos – released along with the announcement – wearing each the tighter and looser-fitting models.
Beckham stated: “The good results of my Bodywear collection at H&M has been great, so I’m thrilled to be introducing these great swimwear pieces prepared for the summer… We’ve worked challenging to create new classics for men.”
Bosses at H&M had been keen to stress the new addition maintains much of Bodywear’s important values – like fit, efficiency, comfort and style – suggesting price points will stay equally reasonably priced.
The David Beckham swimwear variety will be offered at H&M internationally from May possibly 22nd.
