Norwegian architectural practice Jarmund/Vigsnæs have developed a summer season home in Zealand, Denmark. From the architects, “The web site is positioned in a beautiful but windy summerhouse village on the northern tip of Sjælland, Denmark. The program is divided in between 5 separate houses. The circulation region is the outdoors. The homes are laid out in a star shape, in order to supply various outside spaces exactly where shelter from the wind always can be identified.
The ridge and cornice of the homes are on the same height, although the width and length vary. This provides the roofs various angles, generating a playful composition in relation to the surrounding summer season homes. The inner courtyard is clad with a darker stone on the floor and walls to shop heat from the day all through the evening.”
